Stroke is one of the major causes of death or severe neurological deficits. Early detection and diminution of risk factors of stroke is essential. Also rehabilitation, secondary prophylaxis and guidance after stroke is necessary to prevent recurrent stroke and improve quality of life.

In the private neurological practice of Prof. Dr. A. Hufnagel the most advanced diagnostic equipment is available for the diagnosis of stroke, temporary ischaemias (TIA) and risk factors, including ultrasound evaluation of brain perfusion, EEG, evoked potentials, psychometric testing and extended lab evaluation of blood samples.
