Vertigo

Vertigo and its associated symptoms nausea, vomiting, blurring of vision, gait and balance disturbances may be caused by such different underlying diseases as Meniere’s disease, stroke, brain tumors or infections, benign vertigo, multiple sclerosis, neuritis or be of phobic, psychogenic origin.

Exact diagnosis of the causes of vertigo is essential for adequate treatment.

In the private neurological practice of Prof. Dr. A. A dedicated therapeutic program to treat vertigo consists of computerized balance treatment and specific physiotherapy and psychotherapy. In addition, magneto-electrical brain stimulation and neural-acupuncture may be utilized.

Patients from outside Düsseldorf may participate in intense diagnostic and therapeutic programs on a daily outpatient basis in the practice and the associated medical training center.
